KU Energy Council Biodiesel Demonstration
9:00 a.m. Family Fun Zone (just south of the Anderson Family Football Complex)
Join the KU Energy Council in cooperation with KU Athletics for FREE popcorn in the Family Fun Zone with inflatables powered with KU Biodiesel made on campus with used cooking oil from Mrs. E's kitchen. Breakfast and White Glove Tour at the Dole Institute
9-11 a.m. Dole Institute of Politics on KU’s west campus, 2350 Petefish Dr.
Free. No reservations required but space is limited. Breakfast pastries, juice, and coffee for KU students, their families, and alumni in celebration of Family Day. Complimentary tours, giveaways, a children’s scavenger hunt, and information on preserving family heirlooms and precious photos and documents. Free 30-minute “White Glove” tours of the Dole Archives at 9 and 10 a.m. Each tour limited to 15 guests and includes demonstrations of preservation techniques. The archives house Senator Bob Dole’s 4,000 boxes of Congressional papers and 25,000 photographs. www.doleinstitute.org
